Edith Pick, PhD is a Visiting Scholar at Boston College's Carroll School of Management, a Research Associate at the Hadassah-Brandeis Institute, and a Lecturer at Brandeis University.
Edith is a qualitative organization scholar studying how organizations and the people within them engage with, reproduce, and reshape broader social and political dynamics. Her work focuses on diversity and inclusion, gender and race at work, organizational nationalism, and civil society and nonprofit organizations.
Much of her research focuses on Israel-Palestine and the Jewish diaspora. Across these contexts, she examines how social and political questions become entangled with organizational life, and how individuals and organizations negotiate these questions in workplaces and through organizing.
She received her PhD in Business and Management from Queen Mary University of London in January 2025, with a dissertation titled The Construction of Diversity and Difference in UK Jewish Nonprofit Organisations. From 2024 to 2026, she was a Postdoctoral Associate at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management and the Hadassah-Brandeis Institute.
Her research has been recognized by the Academy of Management 2026 Best Paper in the DEI Division, the 2026 Global Voices in DEI Award, and the 2023 Best Student Runner-Up in the DEI Division.
Alongside her academic career, she has spent two decades in professional and leadership roles in mission-driven organizations in Israel, the UK, and the United States.
